Ashtanga Yoga & Sound Immersion
An Ashtanga Yoga & Sound Immersion
This workshop explores the eight limbs of Yoga through the dimension of listening
Using the framework of the Ashtanga Yoga system, we will journey through the physical, energetic, and philosophical layers of practice, weaving together movement, music, mantra, Sanskrit, and storytelling.
Drawing from both the Primary and Intermediate Series, we will investigate how sound can become a bridge between body and mind, tradition and experience, effort and surrender.
Listening is not only something we do with our ears—it is a yogic skill.
A way of paying attention.
A way of relating to ourselves, to others, and to the deeper currents that move through practice.
Together we will explore:
• Ashtanga Yoga through the lens of the eight limbs
• Music, mantra, and the vibrational power of Sanskrit
• Mythology, philosophy, and traditional stories
• Intelligent movement rooted in the Primary and Intermediate Series
• Sound as a tool for presence, connection, and transformation
• Listening as a central practice on and off the mat
This is an invitation into an Ashtanga journey that is both grounded and expansive—honoring tradition while remaining alive, creative, and deeply relevant to contemporary practice.
About Yotam Agam
I move in the space between freedom and discipline, tradition and modern life, effort and ease.
My guiding principle is simple: freedom without discipline becomes chaos; discipline without freedom becomes rigidity. The practice lives as a daily refuge—on and off the mat.
I am committed to honoring the lineage and its teachers while staying responsive to the realities of the present moment, allowing the practice to remain light, intelligent, and alive.
Inspired by the sonic depth of Sanskrit, I integrate music, mantra, and sound as essential dimensions of practice—creating space for deeper listening, connection, and transformation.
Yoga is my path. Ashtanga is my vehicle. Sound is one of the ways I learn to listen.
